Looking for mentors for UPM committees

UPM committees run on Monday and Thursday from 2:15-3:00pm.

We are looking for adult mentors for each group. It could be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or community member.

While the committees’ help the students take ownership in their school and learn about the world they live in by educating their peers and community, having an outside person to lead them in the forward direction is needed.

Please look at the 5 different committees and if you or someone you know can help mentor our students, please let myself of Mr. Pinkert know or return the slip below.

We would like to have the mentors start in January after winter break.

*You must have a background check on file with the school district.

UPM Supply List: Humanities/ Science and Math / World Language

2 Dry Erase Markers w/ eraser (any color)

1 Small container modeling clay/ play-dough (any color)

3 Five-Star 1 Subject notebooks (wide ruled)

3 1-subject notebooks (choice) (wide ruled)

4 Folder (Choice)

1 Notebook/Journal (Choice)

1 Package of loose leaf paper (wide ruled)

2 Packages of 24 pencils

1 Pack of 5-10 blue pens

1 Pack 5-10 of green or red pens

1 Crayola (8 or 10) colored markers (any style)

1 Pack of 2 highlighters (any color)

2 Packs of 2 inch post-it notes

1 Pack of post-it note tabs (any color/ small size)

1 Pair of scissors

1 Roll of scotch tape

1 Elmer’s school glue

2 Box of Kleenex

1 Simple calculator with a square root button. Scientific is not necessary.

1 Cleaning/ Disinfecting Wipes

1 bottle of dish soap

1 package of 4 cleaning sponges

Individual Portfolios 1 2 inch Binder (white with a transparent cover)

1 Folder for binder (with binder holes) (any color)

Thursday July 21st

Telulah Park, Appleton

1-3pm

Snack and refreshment will be served.

There is basketball, soccer, disc golf, and a walking path, students can reconnect with their classmates.
